[VIDEO] RE:What are you listening to now??? (Music recomendations)

I'd bet there is none and have never heard autotune mentioned in the same sentence as Guy Garvey's vocals.  He sounds that good right the way through.

What about the vocal on this one?  First 30 secs or so show just how good his voice is.

I'm falling in love with you
I'm falling in love with you
Six words released like pearls
Into the brightening ether

And oh, to read those words returned
I'm fuzzy, I've stumbled onto
Some heavenly escalator

And oh, to read those words returned
The sky's gonna open up and I'll be flooded out to open water

Six lanes of homeward hearts
Glinting to the evening sun
Weary kids in bottle green
Same gate as the ancient scholars

Beautiful song.  Not about being 'in love' as such - but the amazing, amazing thing of being loved.

No.
Where do you think you hear it?
The band took over the closed Brighton Theatre Royal to record the album - lots as 'live' and all playing together.  you can really tell I think.
Guy's vocal is as good and gravelly smooth as ever.

RE: Arsenal 21/22 season

I'm obviously missing something.
We've played games and had to field Academy players who most have never heard of and lost.
Asked for one game to be postponed with the whole Training Centre shut down too.
Liverpool asked for the game to be postponed due to positives, not false positives. That they ended up false couldn't have been known at the time. Maybe they should have kept shtum.
Or not turned in the worst home performance in some time.

A long way to go (in a pretty poor game...) but I can't imagine your man Xhaka has done anything to change opinions..
What a dick.

Which series is this from?"
No clue, I just went to iPlayer and saw there are 3 series.
Watched the first couple of episodes - brilliant!!
Had tears at the Bruce Forsyth 'reveal'..

I can only assume either Tinseltown is very different to London - as I have no clue where the Monkees comparison comes from?

Also, there are three series of Toast of London, not two!

RE: [VIDEO] Boris the not-a-spider

Maybe most thought it couldn't get worse than the parties etc. that were going on but the latest story about the party at No. 10 and to 'bring your own booze' -  while many around the rest of the country were going through heartbreak and loss, well it really does beggar belief.
Boris's refusal to answer whether or not he was there (while effectively actually answering the question) is a disgrace.  As is the apparent behaviour of the people at the event and the ones who thought it a good idea to take advantage of the 'nice weather'.  Surely he can't survive this one?

RE: Arsenal 21/22 season

Rules are rules I guess but we've played games without key players a fair few times now. Had a game against Leeds postponed at their request, days after Citeh played the same depleted side and stuck about 7 past them. Leicester was the opposite where they wrote off that game and then brought players back for us.
In these times, it's almost a different sport when you look at the team City put out and a bench worth more than many other sides and we (and others) have Academy players starting or filling the bench - and then they talk about their unbeaten run and Pep the best manager ever. (TM)

It's just been agreed.

RE: Hopeful Lenovo question

I would imagine it's a very simple back cover removal and the battery easily accessible - however, I imagine the logic above still applies.

RE: Hopeful Lenovo question

It should even work without a battery installed as long as the power pack is fine - but would obviously click off instantly if the power is removed.

RE: Don't Look Up (Netflix)

Not sure why Jennifer Lawrence's part has been reduced to/referred to as a haircut or DiCaprio a fatsuit but thought both were great in it - as they all were.  However, I agree with everything you've said.
The first post-credits scene is especially good.
I do think that if you ask 'many' people what the film is about they will say a comet crashing towards earth and totally not see the allegory of the comet/impending climate disaster...  Those people will also probably think the film was 'OK', rather miss the point and be surprised at the ending....

Metroid Dread is a return to 2D Metroid - à la Super Metroid.
Zelda, you can pump in 100+ hours in easily - still usually appears as 'best game ever' in most 'charts'.
Animal Crossing is huge too.
Switch games, especially first party ones, hold their prices ridiculously well.
I do think it's time to move from a 24" CRT though

RE: [VIDEO] Nintendo Switch announced

MK8 on Switch is a must as is Mario Odyssey.
Zelda is still a classic and there's many more too.
Almost unlimited VFM from Mario Maker 2 too - there's the game, game creation and the astonishingly creative ones being created by users.
More recently, Metroid is amazing, but probably not for the girls.. :-)
Pete, the fee gets you retro games (have rose tinted glasses at the ready) and also backs up save game slots for the account too.

RE: [VIDEO] Matrix Resurrections… Pick a pill…

Went to see this yesterday..
Pretty much agree with the above.
I thought the first third wasn't 'that' bad but certainly took far too long to explain everything and felt it necessary to totally bring the viewer up to speed with what's happened previously.  The middle third lost its way for me (the warehouse fight scene being cheered on by a bizarre Merovingian strangely boring) and the last third wasn't too bad - although for two or three minutes seemed to turn into a zombie flick for some reason.
A few clever bits but in fourth place for me too.

RE: [VIDEO] Coronavirus, anyone starting to get worried?

Take it no-one knows then
If you haven't had Covid in the last three months and come into contact with somebody who tests positive, you're supposed to test daily to see if you have it so you can then isolate.
If you have had it though, I have no clue what you're supposed to 'officially' do as you're not supposed to get tested.

"I think generally you need to self isolate for 10 days"
Why would you isolate if you haven't tested positive and have no symptoms  and have just been near somebody who had tested positive?  Or is that a 'general' statement and not an answer that you need to isolate?
You don't need to isolate at all anymore do you unless you have symptoms and test positive?  You LFT test for 10 days?

To clarify, what are you supposed to do if, having tested postive in the past three months, you come into contact with someone who tests positive?  My understanding is if you haven't 'recently' tested postive yourself, you test daily and don't isolate.  But if you had tested positive previously, you're not supposed to re-test - but why would you isolate without any testing?

RE: [VIDEO] Coronavirus, anyone starting to get worried?

So they totally contradict each other - but I guess the NHS bit is more precautionary?  NHS one says you could be positive so self isolate but the other says (as I was thinking) not to re-test as it could show a false positive.  But if you do test posite to self isolate.  Aaaaaaaaaaaaagh.

I just want to know what you're supposed to do.
